This test specifies the procedure for determining whether or not a product will contribute directly to the fire development. It is relevant to classification of all building products (including floorings) into classes A1, A2 and A1fl and A2fl. The equipment can also be used for tests to BS 476 Parts 4 & 11 and IMO FTP part 1. FIRE offers control of the ISO 1182 furnace by a contemporary control system and measurement and recording of the data using an optional computer based data acquisition system as an alternative to a traditional temperature recorder. The system analyses the data automatically.
