FIRE's new instrument meets all the requirements of the latest release of the above standards. This test is extensively used for quality control tests in the plastics industry. Its ease of use and economy of time and material has made this test a primary tool to a range of industries, especially to the plastics and electric cable industries, as well as being specified by the military. Also, since the test results are regarded as a useful indicator of fire behaviour, it is widely used as a screening test in evaluating levels of fire retardancy.

- For non-self-supporting samples, e.g. textiles, films, paper etc. Size 150 x 37.5mm and up to 12mm thick.

- Push button control of gas flow to establish the required atmosphere
