Govmark Product Range

FIRE’s partner in the USA is the Govmark Organization Inc. Govmark offer the services of a very successful fire testing laboratory but they also manufacture a range of fire testing apparatus largely complementary to FIRE. This has enabled FIRE and Govmark to collaborate successfully in Europe, the USA and other parts of the World. This relatively new link will develop further during the years ahead.

TPP-2 Flammability Tester - measures thermal performance properties of material when exposed to a high heat source according to ASTM D4108.
NFPA 701 Vertical Flammability Testing Cabinets - used for measuring the ignition resistance of free hanging materials such as curtains, cubicle partitions, etc.
FMVSS 302 Horizontal Flammability Testing Cabinet - used for testing the flammability of materials used in the interior of motor vehicles and aeroplanes.
45° Flammability Testing Cabinet - for investigating the ignition of apparel, bedding and upholstery fabrics according to various standards.
NFPA 701 (1996) Test Cabinet - flammability test for all hanging decorative materials weighing less then 700g/m2.
Radiant Panel Flame Spread Apparatus - measures flame spread properties of textiles, plastics, foams and similar materials used in furnishings, building products and transportation materials according to ASTM E162 and ASTM D3675.
FAA Oil Burner Test Equipment - used for testing the flammability of seat cushions according to FAR Part 25 Appendix F Part II and the flame penetration resistance of cargo liners according to FAR Part 25 Appendix F Part III.
OSU Apparatus - for measuring the rate of heat release according to FAR Part 25 Appendix F Part IV (aircraft interior materials) and ASTM E906.
