FIRE has considerable experience in fire resistance testing of full-sized elements of construction. Furnaces and associated equipment can be provided which comply with the requirements of various national standards and also the latest European requirements. Standardised sizes for testing vertical elements (3m x 3m), horizontal elements (4m x 3m) are available as well as small scale exploratory furnaces (e.g. 1.2m cubed). Fully computerised control, data measurement and data reduction systems are also supplied, as are loading and restraint systems for the test specimens. A comprehensive range of relevant consumables and spare parts are also supplied. Features Strong and rigid fabricated structural steel supporting framework. Front outer face of the furnace is manufactured from cast iron sections to provide a robust mounting for the specimen restraint frames. Four specially designed roller assemblies are cast into the sections to enable simple and fast location of a specimen restraint frame into the correct position. Furnace lined with high temperature insulating bricks capable of withstanding regular heating to a temperature of at least 1400 degrees C. Pre-cast refractory blocks are used to provide robust and hard-wearing edging. Two restraint frames are supplied for the testing of non-loadbearing specimens Four viewing ports to enable observation of the exposed surface of the specimen from the back of the furnace. Adjustable Remote Pressure Control System Computer Controlled Combustion System including twelve premixed gas/air burners. The system automatically configures to follow the relevant temperature-time heating, as selected by the operator. All burners are equipped with standard safety features Gas and Air Distribution System Extraction System and Chimney Platform/walkway supplied to allow safe and convenient access to the viewing ports and to all instrumentation positioned at the sides and rear of the furnace Computerised Control and Data Monitoring and Data Handling System Afterburner system, necessary to clean smoke produced from the furnace. Optional Loadbearing Restraint Frame and Hydraulic Loading System An optional convenient accessory pack can be provided. Plate Thermometers and all thermocouples are provided. Cotton pad holder and pads are provided.
